| Sarah A. Rajala, Class of 1974
Dr. Rajala earned the M.S.E.E. (1977) and Ph.D. (1979) from
Rice University. She joined the faculty of North Carolina
State University and is currently Professor of Electrical
and Computer Engineering and Associate Dean of Academic
Affairs. She also holds an adjunct appointment at the Bowman
Gray School of Medicine and has served as Executive Director
for the Center for Advanced Computing and Communication.
Dr. Rajala has served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE
Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Circuits
and Systems for Video Technology, and for the IEEE Circuits
and Devices Magazine. She currently serves on the Board
of Governors for the Signal Processing Society.
