| William R. Van Dell, Class of 1979
After graduating with honors with a BSEE degree in 1979,
Ron started his career as a member of General Electric’s
Technical staff. Following several promotions, he joined
Square D Company in 1988, becoming Managing Director for
Europe in London. He joined Groupe Schneider in Paris in
1992, as Vice President, Market Development. In 1995 Ron
took a vice president position with Harris Corporation,
in Melbourne, Florida. In 1991 Mr. Van Dell went to Dell
Computer and in 2001 Ron became President and CEO of Legerity.
In 2004 he became President and CEO of Primarion, in Torrance,
California, a start-up semiconductor company focused on
digital power management solutions. Mr. Van Dell currently
serves on several boards, including Tech’s College
of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board.
