| Howard A. Zollinger, Class of 1951
Howard Zollinger is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
After receiving his BSEE from Michigan Tech in 1951, Howard
joined Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Pittsburgh.
While working he attended the University of Pittsburgh and
received his MSEE in 1958 and a Business Management Certificate
in 1961. Mr. Zollinger’s career has been in the field
of bulk material handling. He started, grew, and managed
the Computer and Controls division of Rapistan Incorporated
in Grand Rapids, MI. His work at Rapistan led to his joining
of Mannesmann Demag Corporation, the largest materials handling
company in the world, as a Vice President. Howard continues
to be very active in the affairs of Michigan Tech. He and
his wife have established the Howard and Wilma Zollinger
Endowed Basketball Fund.
