A brief overview The WLPS Lab was created by Assistant Professor Seyed Zekavat in 2004 as part of a project funded by research grants from the National Science Foundation. The project aims to solve the issues with current WLPS technology and to also develop a prototype. From this research could spring a number of different devices. These devices could help drivers avoid accidents, assist in rescue missions, and even help save the lives of troops in combat. The WLPS is made of a dynamic base station and a number of transceivers. The transceivers location is determined by the base station, according the to the wireless signal's time of arrival (TOA) and direction of arrival (DOA). See also Tech Topics Dec., 2004.
