Summary:

This panel is a repeat of the panel session by the same title presented at the 2000 PES Summer Meeting in Seattle, WA. The purpose of this panel is to provide information to the audience about how to prepare a high-quality research proposal. The panelists will address general and specific issues associated with fi.mding agencies and their program directors. Particular attention will be paid to the National Science Foundation and its programs that fund research in power systems.
