My general
interests are in the areas of communications, signal processing, detection and
estimation. Specific areas of expertise have included statistical sensor array
processing, adaptive filtering, target tracking, Bayesian inference, and
decision network theory and applications. Current research topics focus on
cognitive radio networks, ultra-wideband wireless communications, and
distributed sensor processing and networking. I serve
as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. I was an Associate Editor for the IEEE
Transactions on Wireless Communications from 2002 to 2008. I received a
2003 NSF CAREER award.
