Junior Mike Haka (Electrical Engineering), a member of the Husky Game Development Enterprise team, was awarded a prestigious Student Scholarship from the International Game Developers Association. Haka joins other winners from Columbia University, San Francisco State University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Ulster (Northern Ireland), Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine), Yale University and other schools in being invited to the 2006 Game Developers Conference in San Jose, Calif., in March. The scholarship covers expenses related to the conference, which includes attendance at invitation-only events and workshops.

"Mike is an original member of the Husky Games Enterprise and has helped shape the team's efforts and creativity in its first year," Michael Moore, the Husky Games advisor, said. "This highly sought-after award is another sign of his talent, and his teammates and the Enterprise program are wildly proud of him."
