Biographical Sketch
Chee-Wooi Ten was born in Alor Setar, Malaysia. He received the BSEE and MSEE degrees from Iowa State University, Ames, in 1999 and 2001, respectively. Prior to completing his Master's degree, he had a summer internship with MidAmerican Energy Company in Des Moines working as an Energy Management System Analyst. He was an Application Engineer with Siemens Energy Management and Information System in Singapore from 2002 to 2006, delivering SCADA/DMS/EMS projects in Asia Pacific Region. He later received the PhD degree in 2009 from University College Dublin, National University of Ireland. His primary research interests are (1) interdependency modeling (2) software prototype and power automation applications on SCADA systems, and (3) cybersecurity for power infrastructure and alternative-energy resource management. A full version of frequently updated curriculum vitae is detailed. He has been with Michigan Tech as an assistant professor since Spring 2010. Dr. Ten is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
