RESEARCH

I am the William and Gloria Jackson Assistant Professor in ECE and CS at Michigan Tech University, Director of the PRIME Lab and ICC Center for Data Sciences. My research areas are pattern recognition and machine learning, signal processing, and sensor fusion.

Prior to my current position, I was an NSF / CRA Computing Innovation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. My mentor was Dr. Anil Jain.

I received my Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Missouri in July, 2010. My advisor was Jim Keller. My dissertation research examined clustering in relational data and ontologies (PDF).
